So, the owner of the private jet bears full responsibility for the pollution caused, not the person who charters the flight? Like, if you don't the jet, you're morally in the clear?
This feels...questionably legal. Obviously they’ve had their lawyers go over this, but if a warranty is transferable generally I don’t how they can make it contingent on something like this.
Who said anything about needing to do anything? Why do you care? Why should anyone else care that you care?
That’s still a bad analogy because private servers (the grocery stores) aren’t owned or run by Microsoft. People pay to maintain and run these servers. They’re the ones operating the platform. Yes Microsoft developed the software, but the people running the servers paid for it.
No, that’s what the people taking away your property rights want you to believe. When I buy software, I BUY it and it’s my property. Every Steam game I have ever bought is my property. If Valve tried to change the terms of purchase so I can’t access those games anymore, that’s theft.
I would love to see this turn into a class action lawsuit that sets a precedent for whether or not people actually own the goods they buy, and whether the seller of that good is allowed to change the terms of purchase years later.
This last point is particularly week imo.
The “abuse and predatory behavior that moderation would help catch” will simply be unreportable through the use of alternative chat mediums, mods like the previously mentioned one, or in game communication via the world.

Couple of thought on the specific items mentioned:
If white people can invent ‘Latinx’ than TikTok can invent ‘Latinx food’.
I don’t understand the whole ‘The Sky Is Falling’ attitude in this article. Who cares what people on TikTok say about anything, really?
Yeah, permission is clearly implied by wearing cosplay at the venue.
Good lord.
Keeping with The Matrix parallels, I half expected an Agent Smith “can’t stand the stink of humans” rant from Charlotte.
I’ve heard it described as “sweet ranch” which is a true mystery since I don’t know why someone would want ranch, let alone sweeter ranch.
Make no mistake, Keffals isn’t a saint either. She caused a dogpile on a black trans person for daring to disagree with her. She’s advocated for trans rights, yes. But it’s given her a MASSIVE ego. A lot of the trans community can’t stand her.
But in the end Tesla won. Basically the jury said Irresponsible people with fast cars kill themselves or others (akin to people kill people in the gun example). One could argue if the kid’s name wasn’t on the car as an owner, why would the tech listen to him, or at least notify the owner first? But ultimately, the kid…
My biggest beef with self-checkout is that there is little or no counter space to place items once you have scanned them. And the scale area where you place your bags is so inaccurate, half the time it thinks I haven’t placed an item in the bag when I have, or vice-versa.
