Yeah everything mentioned in the memo seems to be about stuff that is mind numbingly boring to do. Your procedurally generated environments (the thing that’s been around for decades at this point) and procedurally generated NPC Outfits. stuff that has already existed but now the process is easier.

The low-effort Luddite sentiment on here is getting really tired. If a tool makes artists more productive, that’s great for everyone. Wasn’t the whole point of Pokemon GO to go outside and hunt Pokemon? I feel like I’m missing something here... If the devs are selling you a way to avoid the core of playing the game, and your complaint is that it’s too expensive, maybe that’s just proof that it’s not really the game for you?

I’m all for trying to be as ethical as possible in consumption, but if we’re ranking evil corporations by how much damage they do to the world, any entertainment company is pretty far down the evil list, just because of the nature of the business.

This is where I stand. I am not against AI being used on things but I need to see an advantage to me for it.
