Imagine being a Netflix exec looking at all the anime that could possibly be turned to live action and then choosing “One Piece” one of if not THE goofiest anime out there especially after the last few episodes.

Seriously. The fact that he favors filming everything in dark or lowlight along with that digital cgi sheen that all his movies have makes everything nearly indistinct.

How Snyder has a cult and keeps getting work is only explainable through voodoo. Dude hasn’t changed or improved since “300". He even wants a director cut of his worst movie, “Sucker Punch”. Meaning his mentality is still somewhere in the early 2000's.

No chance whatever they have planned for the live action version looks great as this. The next best medium for comic book adaptations is animation. I truly wish these studios understood this. Especially the big two like DC and Marvel. Stop struggling to make impossible shit look believable with CGI and make big budget…
