Leathers are pretty much a generic term for protective gear. I ride most of the year in an Aerostitch Roadcrafter. The really super hot summer months I will opt for mesh textile with armour. On very rare occasions I just go with leather riding pants and a leather jacket or an old set of leather chaps over jeans.

As much fun and freedom as riding may provide, it’s shit like this that keeps me off the pavement. Too much shit out of your control and the consequences are too high. If I ride, it’ll be on dirt or on the water (after properly securing my load on the boat trailer).
