I'm sure we'll get an answer there either way, perhaps a meta-joke along the lines of…Leon is talking about Seinfeld the way we talk about Mr. Robot. I wonder if there's a long game in who "we" are in the story. Elliot's monologues read like standard voiceovers but then we have those moments where it's clear that he's

I think so too, especially when you consider Leon. He reminds you of that friend who totally discovered the X-Files on netflix 10 years too late, but transplant him to an institution (where they might only have Seinfeld on DVD) and he seems a whole lot like every other "wacky institution buddy" on every show that went

I meant her 18th-century old-man husband. Someone else reminded me that Geillis mentioned it to Claire during their trial, but I'm not sure people will put it all together.

She's not a natural redhead either. Why cast a bad actress who doesn't even look the part? I'm sure they could have easily found a better actress with red hair. Were there production issues? No budget? Some block against hiring an American?

Oh and the show didn't make it clear that G was ferreting away her husband's money. Book people fill that in but I don't think the show mentioned it.

Yeah, Claire has the realization when she finds out that Geillis wasn't executed right away and that she had further contact with Dougal.

I almost suspect he didn't know that PREVENT CHARLES FROM RAISING MONEY FOR THE REBELLION was the point of the France plot. Most viewers never gleaned that. It just wasn't there in the scripts.

We're not supposed to side with Geillis. She's a murderer and the reason Culloden even happened.

Soooo much time was pissed away on the France-money plot that it seems careless to leave out where the money came from in the end. I can see it possibly coming up later and I'd love to spend more time with this characterization of roger and his research, but us rather leave the whole France plot behind.

I loved how the book ended with Rogers ominous "but he didn't."

Brianna is a weirdly sharp character and Sophie isn't a good actress. I'm not looking forward to more of her.

Does Henry Ian Cusick need work? Time for him to pop up on this show.

This finale missed an important detail that seems crucial and isn't a spoiler because the plot is already wrapped up. It's the point of bringing Geillis back in. Gillian miscalculated and was 10 years too early getting to the past. She occupied herself gathering enough money to help the Scots win. She killed her rich

The Meera actress is doing a nice job with a largely thankless role. Her resemblance to Yara makes me reaallllllly like her.

Back when she was escaping from Kings Landing. It was situationally different than straight-up murder, but something tells me that Cat or Cersei would be treated like legit villains for killing in self-defense.

The Starks (and their distant relatives the Karstarks) and basically the far northerners are descended from the First Men (not the Andals like everyone else). The religion of the Old Gods and those weirdo trees have their Last Hero, who I think also has a magic sword. Bran's plot was oddly empty…the show walked him

In the book, Brienne comes across Gendry and is taken by his resemblance to her love Renly (as Gendry would be Renly's nephew) so I've always shipped Bre and Gendry. Though obviously I need Bre + Tormund, and I think the overall narrative wants us to root for Bre + Jaime.

Because he's only just now emerging as a threat in a way that other characters can recognize.

Yeah, there's still the huge Lannister and Frey dual-army down in Riverrun.

That's the point though. Dany and Yara talked last week about how they had inherited the older generation's war.
