It is a fair argument to make if you just focus on the name being “The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame”. But in practice, the R&RHOF became a general music hall of fame long ago. I mean, they had people like Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye in some of their first classes and I wouldn’t say they were “rock”.

Only one actual rock act among the main group? I don’t mind the other acts going in necessarily, but I think they are starting to lose the plot. If they want to put more women in they can start with Fanny, who opened the door that the Go-Go’s and the Bangles ran through, give them the Music Influence Award also. I am

I just found out Gordon Lightfoot isn't in either.  Cohen, Mitchell and Dylan are.  This is beyond unacceptable!

Now that they’re getting this recognition, will they reconsider their position on doing what they are told?

Rage Against the Machine is being inducted?

[X-posting this, sorry. My love for Kate Bush cannot be contained in one comments section.]

Nelson, Elliott, and Bush are all being inducted in the performer category, alongside Cheryl Crow, Sheryl Crow, George Michael, Rage Against the Machine, and The Spinners.

How is it silly when you have guys like Elon Musk and Adam Neumann in real life acting that way, if not worse?

And we finally get to hear the Perry Mason theme during the credits.

I dunno ... Larry Sanders didn’t exactly run a tight ship.

It might not fit some people’s definition, but that’s physically abusive to me.

She does have to eventually tell him the pregnancy news...right?

I listened to the Ringer’s podcast who compared Shiv’s “keep him on a string” with Tom to learning from Lukas. I see it more as what Logan would do with the kids and it is pretty sad (but typical) to see that cyclical familial pattern.

Are you kidding me?  Abuse?  What’s abuse is how shitty Shiv treats Tom every second of every day.  She is the worst character on the show.  She’s just as bad as the rest of the family but has this ridiculous air of superiority in her mind.

I’d take an ear flick every day over the emotional abuse they inflict on each other.  They’ve both earned a lifetime of those ear flicks, IMO.

I mean, yeah, the takeaway is that Shiv and Tom have a toxic relationship where they like hurting each other juuuuust enough. But they have too little selfcontrol so it all ends up messed up.

There’s gonna be a movie by Sparks, but it’s hard to say when . . . I predict.

Best news I’ve heard this week. Loved their last album, Russell sounds incredible and Ron is writing brilliant fucking stuff.

Few opinions are more illuminating than “I hated this and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong.”

I had two major geek out moments when I saw this. The first was that I went to the Landmark Theatre in L.A. to see this right after a screening that included a Q&A session, so I ran into Ron and Russell Mael at the escalator. They’re just as cool in person. Second, that opening number one-take is on Santa Monica
