Cops aren’t paid to yell obscenities at, or yank on little old ladies, which is why this incident made the news.

I cut my mother off years ago because she was a miserable, resentful asshole and it didn’t change her behavior one iota but it greatly helped my mental and emotional health.

I wouldn’t do it. There have been too many stories of Black people calling the cops for valid reasons and themselves being treated like suspects—beaten, shot, and/or arrested. I want as little to do with cops as possible.

I’ve never understood people’s willingness to be hurt over and over again by family members.

This is the woman who grows up to be Karen from HR. The type of person who seems just enlightened enough to care about people, but really is interested in maintaining the status quo.
