This ep's subtitle should be: "Barbarians At the Gate, Part 4 and Counting".

Yes. They went to Hilltop.

Just watched it. Loved it. Hook had impressive instincts, which saved him multiple times.

Heh; you're right. But it's a nice tie-in to force readers to compare/contrast Negan's relationship with his Saviors to King Zeke's relationship with his Kingdom denizens.

I don't read the comics, don't plan to, and wouldn't dig it if the reviewer focused too much on the comics rather than on the show in its own right.

Thanks.

Reminded me of the warden singing "Who's the warden?" in OITNB.

Seems that's happening with The Kingdom. The Kingdom's fulfilling all orders on time, yet the head pork-collector said they were upping the quota.

But those bad hombres DID build a wall to keep out zombies…and made the zombies pay for it.

Yes. And Negan gets that; he doesn't think Dwight's his friend.

But it does fit that he'd appropriate other men's women as a power play, to dominate both parties in the affected couples.

Surely, when D. was trying to sneak around Negan's hallways, the others didn't need to see D. to know he was nearby. (I could almost smell him through my screen.)

RE: The Kingdom - agreed

Yes. Plus, it's fruit time!

Why would Negan's followers not kill him first chance they get? I've been pondering this question, because it doesn't apply only in the world of fiction. Here's what I've come up with, so far:

In the mood to be rude?

Um, yeah. That was stated in an earlier season.

I'm glad she took that zombie's knife, given the hammer took so long to remove from zombies' skulls.

Not only was the celebratory gun-firing wasteful, it was also a noisy zombie-magnet, both for the horde surrounding la colonia and for all the others in earshot.

Yep. And further fueling Travis was his guilt about his poor parenting (which had been going on for years, not just recently) and anger at the person Chris became, as evidenced by his most recent choices.
