Yeah but at this point, Natalie barely has visible roots. Her hair should be growing out a good 3-4” by now.

Earlier Lottie had said “Something’s coming” and the camera immediately cut to Shauna’s baby bump. In the moment I thought it was definite foreshadowing of Shauna miscarrying and the girls eating the fetus...but yeah that’s hella dark.

Somebody who assumes he can handle the suburban housewife holding it.

“I wouldn’t have fucking killed him, I was going to hit him in the knees!”

she plunges a knife into his heart. Adam is dead and theme music plays.

Just to say, I didn’t get the same contemptuous vibe from the ending as the author did. Loving this show though. Has to be the best Showtime show of all time, non-Twin Peaks division, right?

So now with the coach’s reveal, does this high school soccer team have a disproportionate number of gay members on it? All for it but maybe not the most realistic, but who cares.

i’m sorry but the show missed out on a legendary episode of showing us a whole hour of a super coked out misty.

I was totally surprised to be taking Callie’s side in her argument with her mom & Melanie Lynskey nicely sold how confusing that was for Shauna too

A genuinely great show getting weekly recaps is something I haven’t received from the AV Club in a long, long, loooong time.

Enrico Colantoni will always be Elias to me.....

So Adam is working with Jeff to do the blackmail, then? He’s definitely involved in it, way too suspicious of him to turn up at Shauna’s house just then.

There is an intense conversation between Taissa and Shauna about Nat’s addiction, with Shauna taking a far less sympathetic position.

Looking at the series as a whole, my biggest issue is probably with the casting. As mentioned in another comment, I thought the writing bad and lazy, but I also get that writing is hard and there were choices that needed to be made. However the casting approach is something that actually left me bothered.

I don’t remember any suggestion Kirsten slept with Sarah either...?

Amen to the abortion comment! I kept thinking, this is exactly what thousands (at least) women are going to soon be experiencing if things don’t start turning back around.

I’m loving this show, but one pet peeve of mine from the latest episode is when Travis and Nat are fooling around and she gives him shit for being a sexist ass when he asks about how many partners she has.
She goes on an epic rant about how ridiculous it is, and I’m cheering her on the whole time!

Also, that abort[ion/ed] scene needs to be played in all 50 states as an ad for Planned Parenthood. That was one of the more harrowing things I’ve ever seen.

  • Tom’s Independence Day audition speech was a funny moment. How does he remember that?”I know way to many man-boys that can do that speech from memory.

I’d never thought I’d live to see a time when I could say, “This depiction of a worldwide pandemic isn’t at all realistic.”
