I played this up until, I believe, The Tomb of Raithwall. I thought the license board provided a sense of freedom that wasn’t really seen in past games (minus XI), whereas in VII you had your designated Ranged/Melee/Magic Characters. Some of the voice acting was awful though, namely Vaan.
