Real question: when they talk about boys falling behind, do they really mean girls getting ahead? Like one group has to lose for another to win? There seems to be a lot of this sentiment lately.

Or this is just some cover for a weird science thing where all the boys get together to make Kelly LeBrock.

The misunderstanding came when they thought she would go away meekly an accept the fact that they wouldn’t let her participate in the robotics course.

Oh, I see. So we’re against anti-vaxxers but we’re all for little Cash infecting a robotics class with a vicious case of cooties? Hypocrites.

Because boys have it so hard in the engineering world. This type of discouragement is exactly why girls end up abandoning STEM interests around 11 or 12 years old.

I mean on the bright side at least they told her no because boys are apparently quite stupid and need their own special hand-holding club.

Not icky GIRLS, no.

We certainly wouldn’t want to encourage women to learn about robots and how they work now would we. No way that would ever be something that would benefit society.

“Misunderstanding”.

Way to go, library. After all, you wouldn’t want to encourage kids to learn something and love the library, would ya?

Sounds like he though you were cute and didn't know what else he could possibly say in a parking lot, and came off like an idiot. I'm a glass half full kinda chick though.

Some rediculasly cute guy was cleaning vents in my place today, also flirting with me,he forgot to charge me lol

Some rilly handsome guy in the grocery store parking lot told me “Great job parking! No hesitation whatsoever!” when I got out of my car yesterday afternoon. He seemed genuinely impressed and not sarcastic at all... Which made it all the more patronizing. Who says that?!

Wow, that’s just crazy. The idea of one child is very appealing to me. Two or more and I break out in a cold sweat.

Canadians? really? (Although I have a mixed-race friend from Canada who reports meeting someone who didn’t actually know that blacks and whites were cross-fertile... thought all the varied-shaded black/brown African-descended people were just variations due to... “umm... well, you know, black, I don’t know how that

I suggest you buy white carpet, furniture with white silk upholstery, and a coffee table with a sharp-cornered glass tabletop. Also get priceless breakable knick-knacks and store all of them at child height. Predict you will have a grandchild within a year.

It's not so much the actual wedding that we can't afford so much as it's the reception part that we can't afford. Our life wouldn't actually change much being married so we would prefer to wait till we can afford the wedding we want

Maybe they just aren’t ready to give up the responsibility free life for kids.

Be patient. They sound exactly like my husband and I and I am having health issues that are preventing us from trying. Many things can be going on with them :).

Well, I happen to be half Japanese. Growing up in the US I occasionally get the odd "where are you from" or "what mix are you" comment. But in some other countries people look at me as some kind of weird science experiment. The concept of being mixed race is new and not really accepted. Yes, I know we still have that
