So, The Simpsons are part of the bedrock of your relationship? Because we talk Simpsons constantly.

I will make a similar confession: I too am a smarty. Intelligence was not negotiable for me in a mate.
I’m not remotely offended. You’re pretty perceptive.
Have kids? I dreaded sex for several years after becoming a mother. It just messed with my hormones. So did bc pills.
I hate to say this, but time and again, I’ve known fantastic, beautiful, talented women and men with horrible mates. I mean, all the time.
The secret to being happy is not being happy sometimes. The child rearing years are extremely hard. I’m not gonna lie. Kids stress the marriage like crazy.
You seem pretty damn lucky. Don't overthink it!!!!
Clearly, your mother is wise!
I couldn't agree more. Values trump interests, big time.
Gay or straight. It doesn't matter. You can't find everything in one person. What makes a person a great life partner and best friend, does not necessarily make a traditional best friend, in the platonic sense.
As a longtime married, who would marry my husband all over again, I’ve learned something really important:
Inspired by Millihelen (love!), I’m sharing a tip. I find that even tinted moisturizer is too thick and heavy for me, so I put a pea sized dot of Laura Mercier on my fingertip and a pea sized for of moisturizer and mix. It gives sheer coverage, but looks like you have nothing on.
If she were 10, I’d worry, but 4? She doesn’t know what she’s doing. A few days after the party, have a talk with her. It’s a learning opportunity.
Wow. I will be honest: I have never been out of the middle class. I’m not wealthy or anything, and I was raised to be super liberal and am quite willing to pay taxes (I never bitch about our tax rate) but there are times when I realize how fortunate I am. I can’t conceive of worrying over $1000. Not that I don’t think…
I believe you. But think of how brilliant you might be if you left yourself more time.
You seem like a good person. That’s very important. Any person worth dating wants a good person as a partner. Besides the editing, which others have pointed out, and which you really need to do, I would point out one of the most important rules of writing:
Don’t be. Just resolve to do things differently in the future.
Aargh. I am a college teacher. I read many papers. I beg my students not to do what you are doing.
Is just sock it into retirement. Before that, it would have been for out kid’s college fund.
Is it just me or is prize money on tv getting less and less? I love Chopped, but I’ve always thought the $10,000 prize was cheesy as hell. Worse, it seems like that’s a lot of money to most of the contestants. Chefs get paid shit, I’ve come to realize.
