I feel like the people telling you it's your computer haven't tried to play Fallout 3 or New Vegas recently.

Why should Steam have to answer to Greenlit games - They make you very aware of the fact that these games are Early Access and may NEVER see anything fruitful - If you're not into that risk than do not buy the game, it's that simple.
