Only two games had an escape, the first Halo had the Warthog run. Second was a boss fight with Tartarus, third was a Ghost/Mongoose/Warthog escape, and Reach was the last stand to make sure the Pillar of Autumn escaped.

The argument I have against people wishing the game was survival horror, and old school, is that you can really expect a game with the background of RE6 to progress like the first did. It wouldn't mix well.
