Ugh, that's disgusting! For a company to so directly mess with the livelihood of small business owners just makes my blood boil. There really does need to be a class-action lawsuit against Yelp. I tell my clients not to ever answer a Yelp phone call – and if you do, just put them off and flag the number so you can

Just as a side note, in case this helps anyone. Before I had my thyroid diagnosis, I would go to work out (sometimes 2x a day), trying to lose weight, and I often would not be able to catch my breath, and would start to black out. This symptom of "air hunger" and exercise intolerance is something people should get

Yeah, I developed thyroid problems after years of dieting to maintain a willowy figure... and I had to diagnose myself because of clueless doctors thank-you-very-much. I had every symptom, including extensive hair loss, and my TSH was never above 7. I'm not even aware that Hashimoto's runs in my family... it came on

I give him a 10 for a bold idea, and a 5 for execution. However, he's just at the beginning of his career, so room for growth is a good thing.

Not only was there dodge and burn and a myriad of other darkroom tricks, there was literal airbrushing and literal cut-and-paste. I had a photographer friend in the 80's who shot models and was amazing with the airbrush. There were also photo paints employed in retouching: filling in pinholes, covering dust, etc. Then

I agree with you. I do photo editing and this seems like a restrained amount of retouching for Annie Leibovitz's work. I think it was a good choice to bring her neckline up, rather than altering the shape of her breasts. I love seeing "before and afters" of Photoshop work, but this is a non-story beyond that.

Being sensitive is something she can't change. Although, I agree that communication style is a place where you can meet in the middle.

In my fiance's (plus two teens) household, I am the HSP. I absolutely cannot stand any angry yelling. It's almost physically painful, and certainly very upsetting. So I have requested

Here's my 3- question test:

Yes, exactly. I think it's really difficult to keep your face padding as you get older, if you're very thin. I choose face over ass, thankyouverymuch.

I'm in MN too... I lost my shit yesterday because I read on Facebook (9 hours after the fact) that a homeless person had knocked on someone's door in our 'hood and the people gave him a hot drink and turned him away – despite recognizing him as a regular homeless person in the area. I just would not/could not do that.

The furnace breaks and/or the pipes freeze because the outside is so cold the water freezes where it comes into the house, if you don't have enough insulation. Also, random things will break: like phone, cable, electricity because of the cold. This is where owning a house gets reaaaaallly expensive.

15-20°F is the coldest temp at which I will go x-c skiing, skating or sledding. You will actually get too warm doing outdoor activities at that temp, and need to take something off. I went shopping the other night when it was about -15°F, and it wasn't pleasant, but breathing wasn't painful like it is below -30°F. I

Some years back, I made a fake profile on OKC, pretending to be a "classy" trailer park dwelling cat lady looking for a quick hookup. Everything about it was whimsically awful. I included everything that guys say they hate in women's profiles, and then added the "open to casual sex" caveat. I did not describe myself

I thought the same thing, also... they need a Trap Neuter Return program going.

WWJD? give up and just put out feral cat shelters for the winter. Also: TNR!!

Team Pie!

I'm an INFP too, and I love big reds too, give me a Cab or Malbec, or a nice blend. Also – a full-on cat person (I have unintentionally ended up as admin of 2 FB cat groups.) Next, I'm pouring another class of Cab while I look at photos of my cats (I'm on vacay, and missing my monsters.)

Comments... better than original story. Bravo!

It's also the law that employees are supposed to get a paid break for every 4 hours worked – I think only 2 of my waiter jobs let us take breaks. I'd be curious to hear from others, but I think these employment laws aren't strictly followed with tipped employees.

This was multiple jobs – about 10 total – I never had any employer let me know they would subsidize my wages if I made less than minimum wage. I wonder how common it is that an employer actually does that?
