Is this a Goldeneye thing?

I like this. Might strike some as a little too ruthless, but I've only got one life to live.

Is that Oliver Stone's football picture? Never got around to seeing it. Any good?

This may appeal more to postgrad students than to first-timers at college, but you usually get fantastic access to e-journals through the university library service. It's prohibitively expensive to get into these databases as a private subscriber, so it's a great opportunity to rummage through what the brightest and

I know Craigslist is a big thing in the States, but has it become popular elsewhere in the world? Is there a big take-up in Europe for instance?

I've done a few negatively-marked multiple-choice papers where you lost marks for each incorrect answer in inverse proportion to the number of choices available (half a mark when there were two choices, a third of a mark when there were three and so on). This can make a big impact on the tactics to take.

Really nice piece. A good reminder that the process is such an important part of the work.

Other than practical issues of plug compatibility, are there any technical advantages to using one type of socket over another?

These apps are very cool (if you're into this kind of thing). I've been using Flightradar24 for a while now and it's been pretty good.

Interesting. It's easy to forget how location-dependent these things are, even for native speakers communicating with one another.

I'd highly recommend taking the plunge. There's such a lot of good stuff out there and it's more accessible now than ever before. If you're looking for a place to start, I can recommend having a rummage around Coursera's juicy wares:)

Nice graphic. And I'm not even a coffee-drinker.
