Hey Alan, great post:) Am consistently impressed by your tea and coffee know-how.

Yeah, an interesting app. This is something that's getting more and more popular these days. Strikes me as quite similar in concept to the recently released Timeful.

What was the reason you dumped Dropbox?

That's really interesting. I'd never come across this before. Do you know if in addition to US airlines it applies in Europe and elsewhere in the world?

This is great. I've been using an Evernote note for a similar purpose to track stocks of other domestic stuff.

An interesting and important post. The notion of perfectionism hampers a great many people's productivity. So much in life can be accomplished by a 'good enough' mindset.

True. Our daily carry-arounds are a lot more expensive nowadays than when I was growing up or among our parents' generation.

Yeah, not that unusual really. I have half a dozen pairs of glasses kicking around and a couple of prescription sunglasses too.

A nice laptop/messenger bag is a thing of joy. They can run a little pricey sometimes but as with so much in life you usually get what you pay for in materials and craftsmanship.

Cool:) Bet that total gives you a bit of a buzz.

This is all good stuff and I've already implemented much of it, but I have a quick VPN query. If I'm accessing SSL-encrypted websites (which I understand ought to be encrypting my data pretty securely), is there any real need to layer a VPN on top?

Thanks for sharing this. It's amazing how much a little creative seasoning can give an entirely different mood to a familiar recipe. And nice visuals on the graphic to boot:)

Am consistently astounded by the power and versatility of the Pi. Did the manufacturers know at the outset that the unit would see such varied use?

Spectrum was epic:) My first taste of computers back in the early eighties. Makes me feel old, but saw one recently sitting inside a display case at the National Media Museum in the north of England.

One of the travel epiphanies of my twenties:) Nowadays I usually leave my luggage lying around unzipped and ready two or three days before my journey and toss stuff in (and check it off my list) in short bursts of packing here and there as time and opportunity permit.

This is probably the most important one for me. I've been using the same list on Evernote for every short or long trip I've made over the last few years. One of the advantages is that it's been through so many iterations now that I can avoid much of the paranoia about forgetting to pack something important.
