This looks like exactly what I feared it would be, a “here’s scene #121 from game” type “adaption” that doesn’t levy any of the benefits of film to its advantage but instead just slathers the 90-120 minute runtime in as many “callbacks” as possible to make it seem like it’s a good film based on the series.
