Every time I hear/read that term I’m reminded of the scene in Downton Abbey where Bertie calls Lady Edith a “modern woman” and I have the same thought.

Whatever works for you. Hopefully hubby is not resentful about sleeping alone every night. Everyone’s different but I’d be a bit sad about that and about you getting the full amount of the kid’s sleeptime affection.

My four year old still sleeps with me. I hear about it constantly from my MIL. It’s as if she is somehow burdened by this.

What kind of impact has this arrangement had on your marriage? Not judging - I'm a social worker and I realize there are a TON of perfectly good ways to raise a kid. I'm just genuinely curious.
