To be fair, it’s not a horrible idea. A “time out” would disincentivize the person that’s speeding in order to shave off a few minutes to their destination. And it’d allow a first time offender to avoid being hit with a ticket which could cause financial strain.

Agreed, but you discount how much some people abhor Tesla. They’d rather spend more for less. The Audi E-Tron isn’t worth 80-90k, but it’ll sell. 

Agreed, if Porsche offered it at prices near the current Panamera lineup then I would welcome our new Porsche EV overlords. Otherwise, you can really use the word “overpriced.”

Agree it should be a standard. But it can’t be some flat number like “5 seconds.”You have to consider stuff like speed limit of the road, number of lanes, etc.
