Right, if the machine did not need human input.. it wouldn’t require humans to sit there with a huge window to observe the environment and clusters/gauges which only serve to help a human interpret the situation.

Too late to change the name now, methinks. People just happen to have a huge misconception about what “autopilot” means, even in the aviation world.
That’s a pretty shitty autopilot.
He has a Tesla piece to write per week, it’s probably in his contract somewhere.
Tesla probably didn’t account for 3rd world/developing countries when they designed their tech. Case in point, a street sweeper in the fast-lane of a highway without a huge crew of safety vehicles stating to MOVE RIGHT such as this:
We also learn that *GASP* the manual outlines proper driving and he probably wasn’t in accordance with the owner’s manual.
Wait, the manual said, “Traffic-Aware Cruise Control cannot detect all objects and may not brake/decelerate for stationary vehicles, especially in situations when you are driving over 50 mph (80 km/h) and a vehicle you are following moves out of your driving path and a stationary vehicle or object is in front of you…
Great review, great pictures! Thanks Patrick
It’s a bit different though. You guys actively refuse sales, profile, and have waiting lists. The article is moreso about dealers low-balling quotes or selling cars to other customers.
Damn, it sounded familiar but I couldn’t pin where it came from.
Please tell me you’re writing a screenplay of this.
I never liked VW - it’s an eco brand which tries too hard to be premium. I’m also someone who thinks the whole “German Engineering” crap is over-rated. Are German cars awesome and innovative? Yeah, sure. But they aren’t without fault.
Yeah it’s not counterfeit at all, it’s from an authorized parts vendor.. they only did it to protect their prices and keep the service departments happy to price gouge.
Plus it just adds unnecessary comments which aren’t very exciting to read.
Smart move by VW to settle and not drag out the negative publicity.
Why did this one specific owner deserve more than the price of the vehicle he bought? Or at least, where did this almost three-quarters of a million sum come from?
You can be a gun-owner without supporting the NRA. The NRA is stupid. We need better gun laws in place. We might even need a complete overhaul of the 2nd Amendment. Those are my thoughts.
It drives and parks itself.
