But I will say it was always obviously and blaringly clear that it was extremely risky work which you should have known was risky and non-guaranteed when you picked it as your livelihood. This “maker” or “contractor” job market seems so risky. At any time, Amazon, Youtube, Uber, etc. can change an algorithm or policy on any given day and you go from making enough to live to making a few bucks a day.

The 3.0 thing being the peak isn’t a rule - it’s just that software has a lifetime cycle, and usually around version 3.0 it has peaked, maybe it plateaus and bloats for a couple versions, and then around 7.0 or so it slowly rots under its own weight. Like Nero Burning Rom, World of Warcraft, or most Microsoft stuff.
It’s just hilarious that they’re calling this 3.0 when it’s far closer to a 0.3. By 3.0 your game should be in the best shape of its life, even so stable and perfected that it’s starting to get a little boring.
