I felt the same way about Vampire Diaries. Watched the first two episodes on the first season when it was on TV and thought it was a bit too teenish so I abandoned it. But then I started hearing about how it wasn't like Twilight (which I hate) so I gave it a try on DVD. Great show that is very well paced.
