How is this any less aggravating than being on a standard handset (corded or not) ? The size is a difference from 0.5" vs 1.5-2" thick, a handset is substantially longer (so arm might not be raised as high), and a handset is heavier (typically larger battery, more electronics and not shrunk so much)...

OK, this is potentially a dangerous thing to say in a public forum, but here goes: How many people in IT have no choice but to pirate some of the software they use?

@Con Seannery '09: Illegal in 1 Giz: But if he makes it living cocoa, you run the risk of it coming back to life after you've eaten it, or worse, the sudden realization that the easter bunny really DOES have a lot more to do with easter than THEY want you to know... Maybe it's just Jesus, reincarnated as a bunny, and

@Piemonkey: Microsoft already has a "Save to PDF" option for Office 2007 - you need to get the plugin at Microsoft's site, but it does let you save a document as a PDF (I'm not sure the security options though, or how portable it truly is).

Up here in Canada - Anyone have any luck with getting Cogeco to reduce rates?

Can anyone else seem to hear millions of linux & apple lovers / MS bashers laughing with glee? Or other companies prepping their lawsuits demanding that MS showcase the alternatives to the MS software packaged with windows?

@finish.06: I've read the article, and I can't find a reference to the $199.99 vs $201.... It sounds like they're saying people will want 19999 pennies more than $199.99.... and would, one would assume, pay $199.99 before paying 19999 pennies.

@javadragon: SSD drives aren't common, but they're faster... would they not show a greater indication on OS performance? With standard drives, your performance is somewhat limited by the physical hardware, but if the hardware isn't supplying that limitation, the OS gets to go all out.

Not trying to pick apart something that's obviously done up as a demo... but many different clocks and calendars does one need?

Up here in Canada, I know of some people who go down in the states with Robertson screws and drivers. The application is simple - where ever they don't want people messing with equipment, they use a Robertson head. They make an excellent security bit - cheap, plentiful (if you go into Canada), and most people down

The site is not necessary, people should stop being lazy and read the full articles. Or plug it through a text-to-speech engine, export to file, save to their ipod for later.

Up here in Canada, maybe if people got a free coffee from Tim Horton's, we'd have had more than a 59% turnout. (Seriously, 59%? If you didn't vote up here, and could have... WHY?!)

I have to say, love this article.

Apart from the fact that some are annoyingly aggressive in so many ways, the best sales-people I've ever dealt with (as both a client and as a tech support person) have always used some of these techniques to "assist" their customers.

To anyone who's complaining about the limitations:

@Phoenix83: Also of note are ABS Brakes (Antilock Braking System Brakes), UPC Code (Universal Product Code Code), LAN / WAN Network (Local Area Network Network / Wide Area Network Network), and everybody's favourite illness - the HIV Virus (Human Immunodeficiency Virus Virus).

I'm Canadian. No matter who wins down there, we lose.
