0-60 in 4.5 in an SUV is a whole different kind of awesome. If you can afford the Hennessey Yukon, you probably already have something smaller and faster.
I think you're right, it was much better after I put a Barton shifter/bracket in there, but even that wasn't a wonderful shifting experience, just improved. There did seem to be an awful lot of quality issues with the MT-82, but they certainly could have addressed that.
