Just rewatched the video, I was wrong, it’s not a removal of PlayOnline but them improving the instillation system. Which is pretty big because all I had to do last time I played FFXI was login and click through a few pages on PO. It’s not hard (and the music and sounds are still great).

They separated FFXI from PlayOnline last year I think. PS4 players could get it too, nothing is stopping them from playing FFXI on an old junk PC or laptop.
