I want a Maverick Lightning. If EV’s aren’t the perfect way to bring back small trucks, I don’t know what is.

Maverick ST Maverick ST Maverick ST.
I need to make sure that everyone understands the reason we don’t have things like the Hong Guan Mini is entirely political and social, not technical or economic. It would be literally illegal to build similar low-cost cars here because our transportation laws metastasized in the 1950s to 1960s to center around the…

the alternator was my fault for failing to clean mud out of the engine bay after taking the [smart] car into a mud bowl.
Good question. It’s a really different model too. Even though they have the company trucks & uniforms, I understand most are just regional/local subcontractors. The cable companies tended to do that a lot too (contracting for Time Warner and what not). I think FedEx and UPS still use “proper” employees and not…
now that amazon has rapidly transitioned from random strangers delivering packages out of a beat up toyota corolla to liveried fleets of uniformed drivers with regular routes...how do their metrics/benefits/conditions/pay compare to that of UPS and FedEX drivers, who as I understand have historically provided decent…
Let me ask you - would you buy a Chrysler over a Jeep? Jeep is one of the hottest brands out there at the moment. Chrysler...not so much. Jeep has also proven it can sell rugged luxury that appeals to the North Face jacket crowd. Chrysler lacks almost any brand cachet at the moment, and would face stiff competition…
The only thing missing? Dick enhancement is the only thing there is when it comes to these cars.
They save money on badges with every Ram sold - 2 less letters.
Road trip? He was just making sure he had enough fuel to get home from running errands.
Yeah, but in this country, going to the hospital means being in debt for the rest of your life.
Have you ever seen what an ambulance can cost? If I’m conscious and not in imminent mortal danger, I’d just get a ride to the hospital from someone else.
Right! Ford didn’t need to spin its trucks off into a different brand. Neither did Chevy. I’ll give them a pass on GMC because it has been around for 100 years or so. I can’t see one single benefit to spinning off Ram. There is no way it helps to make money selling vehicles, which should be the main goal of automakers.
Nor should they, at least not in their current forms.
Ten years? That’s enough time for Chrysler and co to change ownership at least twice.
The dumb thing is, is that Dodge would be super successful if they never spun Ram off into it’s own brand.
Chrysler no, Dodge, I think they have a path. They need to refresh a lot of their product line, but they have proven they can make a desirable product, they just need to keep it fresh (although they apparently have learned how to keep existing product selling long after the tooling was paid for as well)
I want to believe Dodge will make it, only because I can admire their “electric isn’t happening until you pry our Charger/Challenger/Hellcat from our cold, dead hands” product line. Chrysler, on the other hand? Phewwww
I still don’t see Dodge and Chrysler surviving.
