Drove one for 2 weeks as a rental car in Germany 10 years ago. It was brilliant and way ahead of its time. I still remember the all electric parking brake, press a simple button for on/off. The cruise control was adaptive (early radar). ect... and pleasant to the eye for a minivan.

The Shutter system will work just fine for the 1st winter, then just like the "wipers on Headlights" and "hidden light assembly" (Pontiac Fiero). Will simply stop working, and hopefully be stuck in open position. Since I would hope they design it to be the "default" position.
