I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine a whole lot worse than losing your child that way.

I highly recommend it. The deaths that you described are in line with my recollection of the show’s depictions. It also does a solid job of dealing with childbirth, poverty, neglect, feminism, alcoholism, and health care. I’ll be sure to check out Time of Death as well.

My five year old daughter died of a brain tumor, so I have some familiarity with this scenario. My thoughts:

The moment he said he sent the family away I was like nope. Didn’t happen. And if this were true, even by his own account the mother was horrified to have missed the child’s passing so pretty sure no matter what it’s super inappropriate for him to be out here telling the world.

The shame of it all was that that kid was just two weeks away from retirement.

The problem is the Clemson O-line is mostly white guys (4 of 5). Those guys calling black players the n-word and other slurs probably doesn’t happen as often as you’d think and most definitely doesn’t sit well with them.

But that’s exactly what they did! They asked him about the slurs and he responded. The reporter here asked if there was any follow up. That’s exactly what you’re asking of the media.
