The only way you could write a more insightful article about the premier league would be if you actually knew something about soccer.  But to your credit, this is about as good of an article that someone who knows nothing about soccer could write.

Do you know why they don’t have umpires call balls and strikes by watching the center field camera feed?

CC’s first contract was one of Cashman’s best moves, his extension one of Cashman’s worst.

At least they’re getting something in return and are upfront about it, rather than the nothing that every other app doing the same thing offers.

How is offering her half his salary, which according to math would make her more highly paid than he was (half his salary + her salary > half his salary) only a “semblance” of parity?

This is the third distinct time he’s no-hit Toronto and it’s been his third no-hitter? I don’t understand how that’s possible and I only read the headline.

Everyone says either VAR has to change or the rules have to change. Maybe the players could change. Be more careful about trying to gain an illegal advantage?

I love the wacky, irreverent, very fresh tone and how the writer takes an everyday, unimportant thing that everyone is familiar with (like yogurt!) and writes about it like it is VERY serious.

I doubt Harry Kane will ever be an NFL kicker, but the dude absolutely was sincere and is a massive NFL fan.

Soccer goalies don’t take place kicks. They punt and hit a loose ball off the ground. The ball they use is also completely symmetrical.

She would definitely be the worst kicker in the league right now! She would not be able to kick over a rush because she has no idea how to do that. Not saying she couldn’t learn, but that’s ridiculous.

Carli Lloyd has a very strong leg. That is necessary, but not close to being sufficient, to be an NFL kicker. There are a lot of soccer players who can hit a FG from the 45 with no rush. I’d bet there are a dozen on every MLS team.

I love how you can take the littlest anecdote from the soccer world and turn it in to 700 words of absolutely nothing.

People write this shit to get talked about on websites like this one.  25 years in to the Internet age and we still feed the trolls.

Yes — a major failing of US Soccer to bumble their way into not having players the quality of Pedro and Ross Barkley to support Pulisic.

Can you imagine having that much money and giving a shit about anything anybody says?

I guess technically when you have the best record in MLB you also have the best record in the American League, but I think convention suggests you go with the broader superlative.

Someone turn off the outrage machine! With the Cup expanding to 48 in ‘26, this format is one and done.

Given that the USA has never missed the Hex, how does this change their chances of making the World Cup at all?

You should remember to add “to me” or “in my opinion” at the end of your opinions. Without those, if a reader isn’t careful, they might accidentally think you are declaring clearly subjective things as facts.
