Fine. Cite your source in the show that states a wound to the torso is only fatal if it's programmed to be.

I know why she doesn’t react. That doesn’t explain why she doesn’t die from mortal wounds. Not feeling pain does not equal being immortal.
I’m so sorry for bringing this out of the greys. My apologies.
I really regret bringing this out of the greys. Sorry, everyone.
It *swung an election.
If you’re just going to assume I missed everything, then this is pointless.
One massive hole is their entire concept of copying a human mind perfectly based solely on interactions in a park designed to make people act like cowboys (or samurai, or whatever).
All you gotta do is have the security force act like people that have trained for a day on tactics and they would’ve won handily. But they got so focused on moving the plot forward that it became obvious that they only cared about the robots winning, so they spent zero time setting it up in any believable fashion.
“Personally, I’m baffled by people’s problem with the pacing. For the ideas being presented, I think Westworld is moving at a blistering pace.”
I’ll give you that they could’ve been using more advanced weaponry, but I 100% think they thought the P90 looked “futuristic,” so they saved some dollars just using them instead of something else.
Exactly. It was so bad that I remember people here saying that the mercs were probably cheap bodies hired by Delos to save money.
But they’re just robots, nothing more. Humans don’t deserve to be murdered because they “enslave” their roombas.
I think season 2 may be easier to get through only because there is no depth there. There's no subtlety.
If you can’t figure out the difference between “you, the individual who I’m replying to” and “you, the audience of the show in general,” that’s not my fault.
100%. There’s also the problem of painting themselves into a corner and then just taking the easy way out.
I don't think it was really overhyped. During and after season 1, the hype was pretty well earned. But season 2 squandered that by trying to be too clever. I don't think season 2 left people feeling the same way. I get the feeling that the hype now is barely there anymore.
At no point was I trying to be condescending. Unlike you.
The problem with your conclusion is that it’s based on the treatment of robots at a park where people are encouraged to essentially be anti-robot.
You could do that in episode 1 and then go linear after that. That's fine. After episode 1, it all became just a gimmick that made no sense.
It would be nice to have a more linear story. Season 2's jumping around seemed largely pointless beyond, “hey, we did this in season 1, let’s keep it up.”
