i think you can probably skip them since they basically did a reboot/time jump so a lot of that stuff would have happened years ago in the timeline of the show and would not be as relevant.

but there were some good moments scattered throughout and of course there were also some pretty absurd, almost shark jumping

The new season is basically a reboot. So it might be a good time to check back in and see if it’s any good. The first episode was cool but that’s probably because the main cast wasn’t really in it at all. We‘ll have to see if that holds up once it gets back to their story

And then he saved everyone’s life, which he couldn’t have done, btw, without escaping from her via puke in the first place.

I was expecting more. So this was a let down and not just cause Rick is always right (once again) and the saviors lost (though that bums me out a lot more than i would have thought).

It’s frustrating how they manage to walk right up to the edge of something interesting happening, only to almost immediately walk back

Did anyone else notice the adam west batman theme playing briefly at the music festival as Gordon arrived?

As soon as it was revealed Jerome had a twin it was pretty obvious what the “twist” was going to be, but if it’s that obvious can we really call it a twist?

I like the thing with Barbara. its a lot better than what

it’s nice to see they kept the core of DJ’s character in tact: that is, he says one line and then leaves the room never to be seen again

Rosita and Daryl threatened to kill him and/or keep him in a dark hole somewhere only to be brought out when it was useful to them. Contrast that with the saviors who have treated him well, given him freedom and autonomy and actually somewhat of a leadership position. Now tell me who betrayed who?

You write in to ask the salty waitress but you can’t make a phone call to the place to ask them? Seems like the simplest solution would be to just ask the folks who work there.

“Gotta watch those right turns, homeboy.”

the machines “learn from us” but come on. when’s the last time a waiter tried to kill you for not leaving a tip? i’d say they have a learning disability.

Not quite. The origin L&O lasted 20 seasons. SVU is on its 19th.

what was the answer to the james polk question?

i assume prime lorca died on his ship with the rest of his crew. but..that is only an assumption.

Have they even mentioned before this episode that the spore network could also be used as a handy-dandy time travelling mechanism? because that feels like a pretty big deal and they just casually tossed it out there as a throw away line.

SO Burnham brings back evil Phillipa to the non-evil universe...that can’t

I’ve been dismissive of the “Lorca is from the mirror universe” theory that’s been going around but now that they’ve done it at least it makes sense. I’ve been saying pretty much since he appeared that he was shady and couldn’t be trusted but i thought making him part of the mirror universe would be a step too far.

I didn’t know how much I need Sarek’s goatee until i saw it.

I was wondering who the emperor would be. I guess i should have seen that coming but I didn’t.

Tyler is Voq. Duh. Where do we go from here though?

Culber is still dead. Which just seems unnecessary. Can’t they fix a broken neck in the 23rd century? They can

Oh my god! they killed Culber! you bastards!

But of course they did. The history of the depiction of gay men and women throughout film and television is ripe with stories of tragedy and death. Unfortunate to see that still holds true all the way to the 23rd century in what is supposed to be a forward thinking

I was pissed off with the “it was only a dream” cop out. it took me way longer than it should have to realize that’s what was going on because I guess it would have been clunky (oh no!) exposition to have someone explain that. so that distracted me for the first quarter of the episode.

and yeah, the big reveal at the
