As an engineer, I have found that asking people who know how to do things that I don’t know how to do is a really fantastic way to not waste hours teaching myself how to do it.

I agree, but we can’t expect more women in law enforcement to actually change the culture.  After all, getting more minorities in law enforcement clearly hasn’t solved the racism problem.
