Sorry to be obnoxious and comment on my own comment, but I read that he burned off his fingerprints so he wouldn’t be identified, but they were able to through facial recognition. When Gabby Giffords was shot, there was a man there with a concealed handgun who had a permit. He said that he never even drew his weapon because everything happened so fast and it was such a shock. Police officers are trained to respond in such situations. Not the average gun owner.
