That would've been amazing! She would've been perfect for that type of prissy, grande dame character. I think if she'd had the framework or if she'd played into her strengths a bit more, she really would've done well, but she floundered when she was forced to create something from scratch. I almost feel like Trinity

Yeah, she takes everything so personally and acts like people are attacking her when they're trying to help her. It's really off-putting and I hope the judges critique her for it eventually instead of just telling her to have more confidence and "silence her inner saboteur."

Everybody poops… and Trinity just shit the bed.

I think her Broadway-ness might be part of the reason she didn't do especially well this week. The judges brought up comedy challenges she'd done well in- Snatch Game, the Kardashian musical, and I realized that in both cases she was playing a character. I guess that as broadway queen she's able to humorously play a

Trinity's inability to do live material is strange to me because she's so funny when she's delivering off-the-cuff quips. Maybe she doesn't perform well under pressure and her best material comes when she's more relaxed and confident?

A lot of people have mentioned Alexis's stealth villainy, but I think Nina is just as much of a candidate for stealth villain of the season, especially after picking a fight with Shea in this week's untucked.

I agree. There's something about Valentina and even Shea that comes off as somewhat rehearsed to me. Valentina was definitely doing Voice-Over Voice during her untucked speech where she talked about wanting to be a star and not just "good enough." I like her, but maybe it's that seeming lack of authenticity that's

Yeah, to me there are pros and cons of having queens like Bob or Bianca. It's amazing to watch them reliably destroy every comedy challenge that's thrown at them, but on the other hand, a coronation can get a bit boring, which is why I also appreciate seasons like this where there's no clear frontrunner and any one of

It'd be impressive if he somehow managed to have three grandpas who were also series regulars.

It looks like most people here agree with you. I immensely enjoy the show because I'm a fan of silly camp and shows where actors play dress-up without taking themselves seriously. I've liked the small amount I've seen of CSI: Miami too though, so I guess how terrible it is to you depends on your tolerance for shows

Everyone is everyone's parent/child is my biggest problem with it. Over the course of about a dozen arcs, there are only two I can think of where the main villain wasn't somehow related to Henry.

The slightly pretentious, reference-laden dialogue turned me off at first. I don't always mind shows where characters don't talk like real people, but I feel like this didn't have the snappiness or rhythm of the best versions of those hyper-stylized shows. I think sometimes the dialogue made the show come off as more

I'm not old enough to have watched it when it first aired, but I went back and watched it on DVD when the remake came out because I spend my time wisely.

I was surprised by Nina's lip sync win too. Usually whichever queen the camera focuses on more during the lip sync is the one who wins. Aja's was definitely better executed and more compelling to watch, but I guess Nina benefited from being the one who'd lip synced fewer times.

Thank gawd we didn't get a Pearl arc for Aja this season. There's nothing more frustrating than watching a queen who has a bad attitude but doesn't have the talent to make up for it make it to the final three. I would've been fine watching either her or Nina go home this episode, but out of the two, I think Nina has

Exactly. The queens are given a very short amount of time to create distinctive, funny characters and we don't even see the majority of the game. Even the funniest queens only get a few lines that make it into the episode. There's no way to craft a character that isn't one note when you have so little time to repair

I feel like "one note" is in the eye of the beholder. Even the people who do well in Snatch Game seem to center their performances around one exaggerated trait. To me, it's more important how well you execute that one note than anything else. Bianca and Ben Dela Creme in season 6, Alaska in AS2 and Roxxy in season 5

I enjoy watching Snatch Game if only because I like seeing who each queen will pick, but I rarely find the jokes as funny as the judges do. I can't tell if it's the type of thing that's hilarious in person but doesn't translate well to the screen or if Rupaul and I just have a different sense of humor, but I've often

I was so disappointed that Max was sent home after that, especially because Jaidynn Diore Fierce went home in the next episode anyway. It wasn't hilarious, but it wasn't cringey and both the look and the voice were pretty accurate. I was rooting for her to win and it broke my heart to watch her be the first person to

Yeah, I was confused by Oliver's read of Valentina too. Miss Colombia was a clever choice, especially the decision to cross out "Miss Universe" on her placard. It didn't seem one note to me either. Yes, a lot of her jokes were about being upset that she couldn't win anything, but a comedy panel as broad as Snatch Game
