I don’t think its fair to lump Tirico in with these other assholes. Those other guys are all clowns, while Tirico is wikdely regarded as one of the best play by play guys in the business, and likely left for a better (not just higher paying) job.

ESPN starting to shed a bunch of their assholes (Schilling, Tirico, Ditka demoted off Countdown, etc.) is like the WWE suddenly stockpiling awesome independent talent instead of their usual generic meatheads. In both cases, I wasn’t expecting those types of maneuvers, but will not complain.

I think it’s part of the pathology. You need to be good at controlling, manipulating, projecting and shifting blame to be “successful” at sexual abuse.
