More complex than in the film but still willing to go utterly insane when it came to teenagers and karate.  Over the top in all the best ways!

Fair. The other dude (pulled the gun on Troutman) was more of a squid anyway. Kove always looked like he could fuck somebody up.

It’s pretty jaw-dropping just how many of the movies’ actors they got to come back for this show, including many who you wouldn’t blame at all for never wanting to think of it again. Though they still haven’t touched The Next Karate Kid, and I’m still holding out some hope that Hilary Swank, Michael Ironside, and

His character in Rambo 2 really doesn’t deserve to be lumped in with the other villains like he is. He clearly has no choice about abandoning Rambo at the prison camp and has a ton of remorse about it, but still gets nailed in the balls at the end.

It’s unlikely that the new film will be closely connected to the spin-off show, especially given that the movie is reportedly set on the East Coast.

That picture is like the karate equivalent of a dad-rock cover band.

look, i’m happy for everyone involved and happy for you if you’re a fan of the show...but it just feels insane that a karate kid legacy series hits season 6, and not only that it’s worth breaking up into multiple parts, not only that it’s actually good.

Nah, you’re thinking of the ol’ Savco Tordon axes:

Phobia’s aren’t rooted in rationality. I worked with someone once who if she was in a room with a cat would begin hyperventilating and crying. Logically and away from a cat she knew it couldn’t hurt her, or only mildly so, but she couldn’t convince her lizard brain of this.

Weirdly, Brin actually liked it.

I think he’s OK.

Wait, I didn’t think he had any accent in any sentence.

He’s always got the gills, just not always using them.

I’m sure even a film like Roar was still a better experience for Hedren than making an appearance (in person or archival footage) in anything by James Nguyen.

Personally, I’m still pretty partial to Apocalypse Costner.

Ah, the Pacific Northwest timber industry. Creators of the finest double-bit axe to come out of the US: the Sager Chemical Puget Sound Falling pattern.

I’ve never cared for Cowboy Costner, but I’m always game for Baseball Costner.

How is it that no one has made a movie about the making of ROAR? It could be a drama, a thriller, a tragedy, or a comedy. Pick a tone and have at it, Hollywood!

Its a genuinely an act of god no actor died on set.

Now playing

I don’t see how you can mention Tippi Hedren and Melanie Griffith without mentioning ROAR: The Most Dangerous Movie Ever Made, where Tippi, Melanie, and the rest of the extended family live and film with lions and other big cats.
