I appreciate your commitment to accessorizing appropriately. I didn’t go for too much death/horror in references to keep it fun, but definitely cartoony. Or like color bars, Mondrian, stuff that’s impactful, but matches things. Not generic gingham or anything dull. (And some hardcore medical stuff for the occasion

Sometimes I wonder if my fun brightly patterned mask choices are inappropriate considering the whole situation. Then I realize oh there are assholes not using any and screaming and I think it’s fine.

Happy May 1st. No wait... Ah. Another American Exceptionalism.

Sounds like work.

Too easy.

he also plays Digit on Cyberchase, which is still going.

I always mentally add "I'M SO TICKED OFF THAT I'M MOULTING" to anything that Gilbert Gottfried says.

it worked out amazingly for The Rock.

“A few years ago, this U.S./China co-production might’ve been the victim of Hollywood whitewashing (see: The Great Wall),”

Yeah. Strictly speaking, there were a lot of non-binary characters in that episode, even if we discount Soren. And there have been plenty of other times Trek has tackled unusual gender situations. If they had said “these are the first Trek lead characters to be non-binary/trans” that would be something, but every

Question is, did he lose his sense of smell? Would be a shame if he could no longer smell what he was cooking.

Are they going to join the generic, nameless, bridge crew who’s jobs are all to spout a little techno-babble every now and then and be utterly interchangeable unless they need to generate some unearned emotion by finally giving one a backstory so they can be killed off in the same episode?

Wasn’t Soren (from the TNG episode “The Outcast”) nonbinary?

I mean did Johnson not write TLJ where Finn’s character got shunted off into a side plot that a lot of fans criticized as pointless

As a huge fan of Boyega, I’d go so far as to call it pretty fucked up that he’d criticize the toxicity of the fandom and then play so completely into their hands. Rian Johnson is a good person who tried to do right by the characters, and to insinuate that he has anything to do with these problems when Abrams had the

He’s got me when he says they didn’t know how to handle characters of color. I mean, Finn ultimately has no fucking character arc whatsoever. But he loses me when he criticizes TLJ and Rian Johnson while defending Abrams. Because Abrams, by being in charge of the beginning and end is ultimately responsible for the

Progress!

I loved these books, but the common critique that the characters were thin is pretty spot-on; I definitely wasn’t reading them for the human drama. I hope they don’t break the thing trying to shoehorn in drama.

Don’t hold back, tell us how you really feel.

Some of David Lynch and Terrence Malick works would disagree with that sentiment.
