There is literally no country on Earth more humble than the US of A

I’m sorry, arrogant Americans? In what universe? Americans are the classiest, most dignified, and humble people on the planet!

Piers Morgan’s rag, The Mirror, is pulling the same shit. I can’t even imagine what The S*n is saying, but I’m sure England’s Trump supporters love it.

Pay these women.  Their play on the pitch and the news they make off of it is faaaaar more interesting than anything the men have ever delivered.

A downvote is the only possible answer to this loathsome Boston homerism

Can I give you a negative star for that cold take ?

People keep complaining about the thin plot and the unnecessary second season. I don’t get it! Every episode this season seems to fly by for me. Some of us like unpacking relationship dynamics and emotional storytelling. Some of us preferred Harry Potter Book Five.

Seems like the Heat could use some Magic.

Her quiet speech at the party to Gordon about how he ruined her dreams for her daughter was MASTERFUL. It was powerful and heartbreaking and deeply human. I have always adored Laura Dern, but that speech just solidified for me how truly fantastic an actor she is.

Glad to see this filed to “LOLKNICKS” because they share so much with the Mets. Same city, same color scheme, same laughably bad front office management.

After all, it’s much less humiliating for them if the reason Kevin Durant isn’t a Knick is because they didn’t really want him, rather than him not wanting them.

wouldn’t receive even the perfunctory meetings Durant’s camp was having with teams in New York.

So not only did they get stonewalled by KD after what seemed like a year of him telegraphing that he *wanted* to play there, but then they lied about it? And thought that— in the NBA of all leagues— it wouldn’t immediately come out that they were lying? This freaking team, man...

“No. No! NO NO NO! *We* broke up with him!!!!”

While Durant and Dolan would have certainly provided lots of fireworks, I think the combination of Durant and piss baby Kyrie has strong potential for a few explosions, as well.

“I love the smell of mimeograph in the morning. Smells like ... sadness.”

As a heat fan I have to say this seems like alchemy. It hurts to lose J Rich but a player like butler is exactly what we needed to at least be competitive. I was prepared for about another five years of the hangover from selling our souls for LeBron (which I’m still glad we did).

I have called it a megaphone and house of mirrors for tiny little groups of stupid people.  “Force multiplier” is more eloquent.

The internet is a force multiplier for stupidity. 40 years ago, stupid people had to subscribe to newsletters, which if they were stupid enough would be mimeographed (mmm, nothing like the smell of freshly printed dittos) instead of xerographically copied. Now? Global networks of imbeciles.

Fuck you, Ferdinand and Isabella.
