Dont worry my friend.  I too made the shift in life from cheesy pickup lines on my wife to dad jokes for the kids. The kids say their lame but I’ve caught the wifey’s expression and she loves them.

To me the best show even quasi-linked to Cars recently is Clarkson’s Farm. It’s got the typical “let’s watch Clarkson screw things up” thing that made Top Gear so good for so long. But it’s more than just watching an aging guy take a shot to the plums from an upset sheep.

Here’s the thing with American Top Gear: It actually got decent after everyone stopped watching. In the early days? It was trying way, way too hard to be like the original and could not pull it off. Plus, it was clear that the cast didn’t really know each other and had a very hard time playing off of each other.

I am sometimes guilty of giving people driving etiquette reeducations on the highway. If i get a chance to pin an aggressive driver into a deep right lane backup I will. I love to bait the guys who are weaving in and out of lanes to get stuck behind something slow.
