agreed - the brush may be fine, but the shaver is crap.

surprised guy nailed it.

they'll come around. they all do, eventually.

i find that the news is actually quite current — in fact, quite acceptably so. it's the tabloidy stuff and the heavy emphasis on sports that drive me crazy. well, that and the insanely long load time.

EXACTLY. the part his nostalgia is glossing over is the part where, after saving up $12 or $14 for an album and making a choice based solely on the cover and the one or two songs being pushed on the radio, you buy it and go home all excited, only to be crushed by the fact that the rest of the album sucks.

yeah, it's pretty lacking. i am fine with their presentation and interface, but it's a bit too tabloid-y and focuses too much on sports for my tastes. if they kept the tabloid & sports stuff as they are, but beefed up their news, i'd consider subscribing for a bit. content aside, it's still crashes like crazy for me,

i'm glad i'm not the only one who found the navigation a bit confusing.

As someone who has been raising a ruckus in the Square forums, I'm glad this is being picked up by the media. The more pressure they are under to make good on promises, the better. I want a good, secure reader too, but I just wish they had been up front that they weren't ready to roll this out all along.
