Nothing some glue can’t fix. Cheer up, Fahey!
You’re right. I even feel more guilty of not supporting Psyonix, because I got the game through PS+. At least, I’ll pay proper money for the DLC...
Pyjak already tells it above, but in case you needed a confirmation: http://kotaku.com/persona-5-dela…
Getting involved in such a discussion was kind of a dick move, I confess.
Whatever. A man’s good ad is another man’s bad ad, right? To me, it lacks mockery to make it work, at least in France. A Greek god look-alike with a big dick/cannon? Meh. Lazy and predictable. The same guy with a tiny dick, or a skinny, ugly guy with the most massive of bludgeons? We’re getting there. Sorry to sound…
Indeed, even though I reckon that most of the commenters here are from the “Western world”, and discuss the ad from that point of view. “no /S”
You’re right. And it’s true that it might look audacious for a US audience... In France? Not so much.
Well, when you’re looking for an ad idea, there’s always a dick joke that comes up from the beginning (and I wasn’t the last to find some sexual innuendo), but after a “ha, good one!”, we moved on to something else. Let’s face it, dick ads are just lazy.
I’ve been working as a copywriter in an ad agency for 6 years, and I can’t see much audacity there. To me, it’s just distasteful, and not even funny (a huge tank with a very small cannon might have been funnier), but each to their own, obviously.
OK, I get your point now. Sure, maybe an open world à la GTA would draw more audience to the Yakuza series, and at least make it get better reviews on some gaming websites. Still, and I can only talk for myself as a Yakuza fan, I’ve never been bothered by the size of the open areas. True, I’m not a GTA fan, I tried…
Considering the PS4 domestic sales and its success abroad, getting a localization earlier than usual couldn’t be excluded. It could be tempting for Sega to make some profit in a shorter span, even if the Yakuza franchise is not exactly a blockbusting IP in North America/Europe. But hey, I know it’s Sega we’re talking…
Yakuza 2? You spend as much time in Osaka’s Dotonbori district as in Kamurocho.
Switch controller ports, Snake!
I know, all because of the weather, right? That’s what I’ll tell the missus...
Oh, come on, it’s the internet and it’s good ole Fahey! Let’s just relax and get a little colloquial, not because we’re disrespectful, but for the sake of l’amitié kotakuesque!
You should really do more reviews in French, you sound vraiment great! Allez, Fahey, s’te plaît ! I just hope that Lay’s has a French competition, now...
