Unfortunately many childcare providers also have student loans.

I don’t really get this. If men want to be teachers, sure, be a teacher. We should encourage everyone to pursue what they really want to do. But we shouldn’t encourage people who don’t want to be teachers to be teachers just to meet some arbitrary diversity stat?

I think teachers make at least 2x if not 3-4x what childcare providers make. Childcare providers typically make near minimum wage. Senior teachers in my parent’s district make 70k.

How is it more successful if we’re just asking women to work for free/depending on them to do everything?

yeah all the male gawker writers suck, i dont want to read any of them.

“hey women, do free labor”

yeah so why bother amirite

I mean it is a for-profit corporation so I am not sure what else they are supposed to be motivated by.

are you fucking kidding me??? what the fuck

High schoolers live with their parents and have free room and board.

Very weird to both be desperate to move to another county and feel desperate for people to be allowed to leave their countries and live here.

The problem is then, when is it okay to have a personality and are we going to police women’s personalities and tell them they are only doing things to please men when there is no conscious desire on their part to do the behavior to please men?

You know, we really have to stop saying this shit. I was in a male dominated major in college and whatever female professors I had would always end up saying this to me “you’re smart but you giggle a lot to make yourself less intimidating to the men in class.” No? I like to laugh. My personality is not a threat to you

LOL i kind of love this about her

ha ha that’s fair, it’s pretty emotional music, the best is like a lot of old country but less twangy.

they’re divorced, if that comes as an unsurprise to you

This is written... so weirdly?

it really does give you a warped view of reality. i went on a date once and had fun and realized all men don’t secretly hate women (wasn’t a think i consciously thought, just had seeped into me from the internet)

i keep hearing that men and women commit domestic violence in equal numbers (tho obviously women would typically be more injured in these situations), is that true? I’ve been on reddit too much I guess, I don’t know what to believe anymore but the sheer volume of people who have been abused and also who think

You’re definitely going to get a skewed vision if you’re just reading jez articles about it.
