Personally, I prefer women protagonists these days. I just find it more interesting, as they’re often given deeper characterization than the dime-a-dozen stoic men protagonists. Plus, I play games to not be me. A woman is about as far from me as I can get.
God, Escape Velocity, that takes me back. So many hours playing and modding it, kinda miss that style of game (and no, stuff like Elite Dangerous just doesn’t scratch that itch for me).
Eh... if Bungie wants to revive old IP, I’d rather they bring back Oni or Myth. There’s no shortage of live service multiplayer shooters. It would be much more interesting to see Bungie tackle something that isn’t an FPS.
