The suits in Burton's Planet of the Apes were great. It's just the movie wasn't. The orcs in mine own franchise were top notch, if not as grandiose as Legend.

I mean… the cheesy effects worked there because it's a cheesy story. I wouldn't want to see something like the R.O.U.S. in a serious fantasy film.

That part where the street blows up around Leo and Ellen, and then, like, folds to vertical was pretty great.

I think it counts if it tries to incorporate CGI and live action realistically. So Who Framed Roger Rabbit = Special Effects, and Avatar = Special Effects, but Rango = Animation.

Maybe it's just because I didn't know X-Men from shinola when I saw it, but the first X-Men duly impressed me.
