Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…
He had a change of heart, though.
I thought that already happened after the 30th "Zoom zoom zoom" ad.
Shame on you for conflating Nazis with boners.
A lot of the ambiguity was cleared up by Seuss's sequel, Horton is Cool with Abortin'.
I've heard they're not what they seem.

I only noticed while watching Episode I again recently (with Rifftrax, natch) that for each circuit in the podrace course, they use the EXACT SAME SHOTS. It's one scene, played over three times.
@avclub-454a7bfd685393329597fdb7a92b7969:disqus You, me, and @avclub-d28c535297ee67dde54c801840d12f61:disqus . Is there some kind of "Dads-falling-asleep-at-podrace" conspiracy going on?

Maybe 19 was too old to watch Scary Movie, but sweet Jesus did I despise it. I kept wishing the movie had a face that I could punch.
Try some Ghibli instead. Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away are good starting points.
That eyeball thing is pretty cool. Reminds me of Beetlejuice.
How is it Steampunk? It's a 70/30 mixture of preindustrial ships and advanced futuristic technology. Not a steam engine or gear-based machine in sight (well, I suppose B.E.N. in a pinch, but I'd rather forget him).
Treasure Planet had some great visuals and virtuoso moments, but overall I thought the CGI and cel animation meshed very poorly, a lot of the story felt like filler, the protagonist was bland, many supporting characters were gratingly campy, and the whole thing ended up feeling like Disney's own Atlantis by way of…
