In a world where terrorism, beheadings, drones, Ebola, cancer and police brutality rule, I'm gonna give the Disney wedding dresses a pass. If it makes some woman feel like a princess on her big day, who am I to judge?

I think you hit it precisely on the head with your comment about differences in experience. I really feel like people of color do not want to hear comments about race from a white man. Whether that's legitimately how people feel or not, I tend to want to err on the side of caution.

That's a bit of a specious argument you've got there - a cop has to actually witness a crime to investigate or arrest someone? If that were the case then there would be virtually no one in jail.

Her stance remind me of those parents who go all, "What are we going to tell our children about two men kissing?!?!".

It is a difficult conversation to have, but she could start by not being all up in arms over what Grande is wearing in that photo. She lives and works in LA. I'm sure her children see much racier attire on their way to the grocery store or to synagogue.

That was almost thirty years ago and I'm still traumatized by it. :-)

When I was a wee teen, I was at my aunt's house. I went into the infrequently used downstairs bathroom and sat down to do my business. I felt something tickling my tush and did the hop up/scream/scrape my hand across my rear routine. A little spider ended up on my hand and I flailed like a maniac until it fell off. I

LOL! Yeah, that was pretty damn cringe worthy.

I'm not even gonna lie, I'd much rather see Max but I wouldn't abuse Nev in an elevator if I saw him there.

And I would be willing to watch that, provided Max was there filming it with his handheld camera.

I took piano lessons for a few years as a kid and then had to stop because my Mom had to sell the piano to pay for necessities. One of my biggest regrets in life has been that I was never able to continue playing. I'd love to pick it up again, but I'm afraid that I'd be too far behind at this point, being 42 and all.

Thank you for your response. I honestly didn't intend for my comment to be a "#notallwhitepeople" response, but since you're the second person to say that, it's clear that was how it came across. Thanks for the info re: the Salad Bowl kinja. I just checked it out and I'm planning on spending more time there in the

These are great ideas.

Is there a cheap and cheerful way to do this on a PC?

Literally, Anne Perkins!

That wasn't my intent at all and I'm sorry if it came across that way.

As a white person, I feel that I don't have anything particularly enlightening to contribute to the discussion of Ferguson, so I've kept my mouth shut for the most part. I'm gay, so I can, in some tiny and insignificant way, understand what the people of Ferguson must be going through. I also understand that the

I suppose it is possible that he didn't type those horrible comments "attributed" to him, what with those t-rex arms and all.

How about we not act like shitheads toward little kids who are impressionable and haven't had their little souls crushed by life yet? How about we just treat every person we come in contact with respectfully and with compassion?

Thankfully our system is analog, so I guess I'm in luck! :-)
