Like, I always love when someone comes up with either a high-tech or high-fantasy setting and somehow thinks it means there would be no transgender people.

If anything there would be more because either through tech or magic, it’d be a whole hell of a lot easier than taking HRT and dealing with other people’s bullshit…

So, like, I’ve only been tabletop roleplaying for a short time compared to most, (started in 2014), but I feel like “racial” strengths and weaknesses are much more interesting when it’s something that opens up gameplay or roleplay opportunities as opposed to just stat changes.

I think my biggest gripe about it is that it doesn’t roll off the tongue as easily.
Like, it’s only a single syllable longer, but being three words makes it more awkward to say. And starting with “Like” will make for some awkward sounding sentences when talking about it. 

Especially given the recent moves Florida has been making against trans individuals. There’s a non-negligible number of trans or genderqueer speedrunners, and who knows what new evil measures Florida might have implemented by January at the rate they’re going. 

Even under the 1st Amendment, speech that is meant to incite people to violence is absolutely NOT protected. Even without any further restrictions, the kind of things happening on KiwiFarms would be able to be lawfully restricted because of the danger it posed to human life.

That’s true, but also, I guess I don’t really feel that every game really needs to fully reinvent itself or make massive leaps forward to still be an enjoyable experience?

So yeah, like, the bugs and all that are shit, and should get fixed up, but like, there’s nothing inherently wrong with being a “comfort food” game.

My fondest memories of L4D / L4D2 aren’t because of the game itself, but because it brought myself and 3 friends together for a fun romp. There was enough downtime between stressful parts of the game that it was the perfect hangout game. That balance of high and low tension is what L4D nailed perfectly.

Right. The C-buttons would have been used to control the camera.
Thumbstick would be for movement, A-button for jumping, Z-trigger for firing. Morph Ball might get mapped to B, and then use R to cycle through missiles / super-missiles / power-bombs / normal beam. Might have to spare one of the C-buttons for a “lock on”…
