If it’s your own device that you also sometimes use for work then fair game, but if the work laptop is not yours and they are only lending it to you, then I can get why they get so stingy on what you can and cannot do with it.

Work will care when the laptop breaks because of something you did / installed that wasn’t work related. Or diminishes the laptop’s performance. Or creates some other issue that prevents you from doing the actual work that the laptop is intended to be used for.

If you’re playing Violet, your specific Charcadet evolution is essentially Fuecoco but faster and with more defense. You can get it as early as you can get to Zapapico to farm materials, about level 20-30. Which is EXTREMELY easy to get to, both in location and level.
