I really reflects badly on Anthony Hopkins that he took that role of the guy who eats people.
This is the dumbest discourse. The concept of villains in fiction shouldn’t be “cancelled.” Just because someone voices a villainous character, it doesn’t mean they condone their villainous actions.
Well, being aware of brand loyalty and avoiding it is usually a good thing - I have the same philosophy of narrowing down stuff to quality that won’t break the bank, and it doesn’t pay to follow the brand there.
So, the content warning accurately reflects the game's content, but people made bad assumptions about that warning and are now mad at the dev and want the dev change the game itself?
If you bounce on my balls 4 times, you’ll break orbit. I’m the solution to the space race.
This is some big “I’m rubber you’re glue” energy.
As someone certified in computer repair, it has been my overwhelming experience that “Joe Schmoe” tends to care more the price tag being cheap than the reviews when buying computer parts, especially those parts that aren’t (assumed to be) critical.
Major? Not sure I agree. The issue seems relatively minor. There’s no point at which this money leaves Valve’s ecosystem for the attacker, and like most systems, I’d bet my own money that Valve confirms payments to devs in 30-90 day batch payouts prior to deposit. Beyond that, the multitude of sanity-check layers on…
Didn’t read the article, I wanted to take a shot at guessing what they said.
Your instinct is correct, Valve’s exposure here is actually quite small. Steam Wallet funds can’t be withdrawn, they can only be spent on marketplace transactions (which only go to another Steam Wallet) or on purchasing games or microtransactions. The latter two are the only time money leaves Valve’s account.
yep, cavalry is an effective method for dealing with folks just running around. even when equipped with like pikes and shit that is specifically anti cavalry, you are still basically facing down a VERY heavy creature barreling at you at high speeds with essentially a pointy stick. And on top of that, people important…
Simple solution that I had to teach too many parents. Don’t attach a credit card to any account. When your kid wants something just buy a digital gift card/game and e-mail it to them or input it yourself. Problem solved. If your kid is stealing your cards and using them no corporation can raise them for you.
The reaction of Arizona drivers to rain is all over the place. I remember one summer when I was home from college driving east in the rain along the 10 in Phoenix at 35 mph because if I went any faster my front wheels started to hydroplane (not good with a FWD car), and some idiot goes booming past me in the fast lane…
ALL DRIVERS from EVERY STATE have been getting noticeably worse in the last few years. People are driving faster, more erratically, less turn signals, keeping smaller distances between the cars in front of them, hogging the left lane, staying in the right lane at on ramps, weaving between lanes, can’t stay in their…

“cascading failure” thank you i could have just said this and saved myself 600 words.
Ah yes. The classic Cascading Failure. A thing that goes catastrophically wrong, causally linked to an endless chain of other Things That Go Catastrophically Wrong that all set off Even More Things That Go Catastrophically Wrong. Like a circular row of dominos, except each domino is an open oil drum filled with…
Here’s a tip: in order to settle out of court you have to threaten to take someone to court, first.
Who wants to play an online game where a bunch of a-holes cheat and make the game unplayable for everyone else.
